College of Business Fall 2025 Student Accomplishments
The Reginald F. Lewis College of Business at Virginia State University celebrated the following fall 2025 student accomplishments.
(1) Geovany Disla (Accounting major) earned a paid internship for the summer in Richmond responsible for investment at Spider Management.
(2) Erica Quick (Accounting major) earned admission to Virginia Tech to pursue a graduate degree in accounting and information systems.
(3) Bryan Hobbs (Management major) taught students in Taiwan.
(4) Katheryn Moore (Marketing major) and Amyia Morgan (Management major) together won $5,000 relevant to a pitch for their business; sponsored by Fortune 500 Altria the ladies’ pitch culminated three months of entrepreneurship training hosted by WBENC.
(5) Justin Francis (Accounting major) earned a paid internship for the summer at Northwestern Mutual in Richmond.
(6) Arianna Ferguson (Accounting major) and Patrick Ricks (Accounting major) attended the IMA Leadership Conference in Cleveland.
(7) Janiyah McMillan (Management major) shadowed Joanne White (Financial Advisor) at Cetera Investment Services in Henrico.
(8) The College’s students’ excellence materialized in a $50,000 donation by Church & Dwight.

(12) Kiersten Williams (Marketing major) hosted Santia McLaughlin (Recruiter) of Northwestern Mutual for an ELITE Entrepreneurship workshop.

(20) Shelby Moore (Accounting major) earned a full-time position for after graduation next month at Molson Coors in Milwaukee where she will relocate subsequent commencement.

(35) Shelby Moore (Accounting major) won a TMCF accounting scholarship in the amount of $8,000.

(45) Shelby Moore (Accounting major) earned the NABA Outstanding Student case competition and accordingly the $2,000 prize from Deloitte.
(46) Fifty-five students in Professional Enhancement and Career Launch planted flowers on campus and spread mulch to improve aesthetics and to contribute to mental welfare.
(47) Twenty students in Professional Enhancement removed litter from campus to give back and to prepare important pedestrian gateways for Homecoming.
(48) Shelby Moore (Accounting major) attended a Fulton Bank industry breakfast in Henrico visiting with a dozen businesses.
(49) Jazmine Esson (Marketing major) earned a full time position for after graduation in December at Columbia Gas responsible for public relations and community engagement.
(50) Bryan Hobbs (Management major) earned an opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange visit and will depart for Taiwan on November 4 for two weeks.
