Application Process
The applicant will submit the following:
- A cover page with the applicant's name, rank, department, email, office, and cell phone numbers.
- Include a 250-word executive summary that provides a clear, concise overview of your proposed work, including:
- The focus of your project or initiative
- The intended impact
- The primary activities you will carry out
This cover page and executive summary must be attached to the proposal statement as a single document.
- Proposal Statement (Maximum 3 Pages). The proposal is the core of your application. It should clearly communicate what you plan to do, why it matters, and how it will be implemented and sustained.
Your proposal must include the following components:- Motivation and Purpose. Describe your interest in participating in the Fellows program and why this work is important to you and your role.
- Proposed Work (Programs and/or Activities). Provide a clear description of the program(s), initiatives(s), or activities you plan to develop and implement during your fellowship.
- Goals, Objectives, Activities, and Timeline.

When these tasks will be complete
- Impact. Explain the expected impact of your work, including: Who will benefit and How it improves teaching, operations, research, or the university community
- Sustainability and Scaling. Describe how your work will: be sustained beyond the fellowship period. Be scaled, shared, or integrated into broader university community
- A recent Curriculum Vitae. Submit a current CV that highlights your relevant experience, accomplishments and qualifications.
- Letter of Nomination. Submit one letter of nomination from a proposed mentor a peer or administrator with knowledge of applicant's work and strengths as a faculty member. This letter should specifically address your capacity to carry out the propose activities.
- Statements of Acknowledgement. Submit two statements confirming support for your participation from the applicant's Department Chair and Dean. For the staff fellow, two Statements of Acknowledgement from the applicant's direct Supervisor and department Director will be required. These statements must confirm that you will be provided sufficient time and support to complete the fellowship. They may also address your ability to successfully carry out the proposed work.

Application Deadline
Applications are due Friday, May 22, 2026, at 5pm. Notification of acceptance into the program will occur on or before May 29, 2026.
Application Review and Selection
The Academy of Faculty Enrichment Steering Committee will conduct a holistic review of all faculty applications. The Staff Senate's Executive Committee and one member of the AFE Steering Committee will review staff applications. Nominees will be forwarded to the Provost and Vice President Academic Affairs and Executive Director of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness who will announce the 2026-2027 University Fellows.
