Trojan Introduction Program (TIP)

Good News! Orientation is here!

Congratulations on your admission to Virginia State University! Orientation plans have been made, however, due to the impact of COVID-19, our orientation will look a little different this year.  Our in-person orientation sessions have been postponed indefinitely.  We will notify you of any updates as we get closer to the start of the semester.

To accommodate current mandates and keep everyone safe, your first step in the orientation process will be attending a Virtual Advising session.  Our virtual advising sessions will provide a solid academic platform for your success at Virginia State University.  Our Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) will be conducting Virtual Advising sessions beginning in June.  If you have already paid your Orientation fee or housing deposit, you will be contacted by an academic advisor for your next steps.

If you haven’t paid your housing deposit or orientation fee, please register here for the first step of your orientation.  You are still responsible for paying your orientation fee and/or housing deposit.

The next step in the orientation process will be to view our Trojan Online Orientation modules.  The modules will educate our new Trojans on topics such as financial aid, campus resources, student expectations and engagement opportunities.  In mid-July, students who have attended a virtual advising session will be given access to their Trojan Online Orientation modules.

Please continue to visit our COVID-19 webpage to learn more about our plans for instruction mode, housing and other important details related to your first semester at Virginia State University.
