Center for Creative and Entertainment Arts
The Center for Creative and Entertainment Arts (CCEA) is a dynamic interdisciplinary hub dedicated to fostering innovation, research and creative endeavors, and entrepreneurship within the arts and entertainment industries. Our multifaceted approach encompasses research opportunities, workforce development initiatives, and support for budding entrepreneurs seeking to make their mark in the creative landscape.
The development of the center aligns with the VSU strategic plan and emphasizes the pursuit of “Preeminence with Purpose,” through the creation of improved synergies with existing academic programs and expanded offerings in the creative and entertainment arts and sciences.
The CCEA seeks to assess the current and future state of the Music and Entertainment Industries through the development of innovative student-centered programming and research. Additionally, the Center actively promotes and advances the knowledge of Black and African American artistic traditions and its contributions to the national and international artistic and entertainment industries landscape..
