Research Interests
- I have developed a unique epidemiological and psychoneuroimmunological perspective, integrating Psychophysiology, Neuropsychology, and Substance Use Epidemiology tenets. My current research interests focus on the intersection among cannabis use, autonomic activity, and executive function. Specifically, I look to elucidate the influence of chronic cannabis use on perseveration and cognitive flexibility as a function of heart rate variability. My goal is to identify and employ mechanisms within the Brain-Heart pathway to intervene and/or treat substance use disorders.
