- International accounting, corporate accountability and transparency, accounting for managerial performance, and accounting education. His scholarship also explores the use of technology in accounting education and the role of accounting research in supporting decision-making within businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.

Full Bio
Dr. Jude Edeigba is an accomplished Associate Professor with expertise in accounting and other business-related disciplines. He has taught at different institutions in the United States and New Zealand, with experience teaching foundation, intermediate, and advanced accounting courses, as well as supervising postgraduate dissertations and theses and industry research projects. Prior to joining Virginia State University, he was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Colorado Mesa University in Colorado and a tenured faculty member at Massey University and Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology, which are some of the largest tertiary education institutions in New Zealand. His experience is also grounded in practical accounting, having worked in an accounting role at Geneva Healthcare in Auckland before returning to academia.
Dr. Edeigba has published in top accounting journals such as Accounting Education, Accounting Literature, and many others. Dr. Edeigba’s research interests are diverse and include international accounting, corporate accountability and transparency, accounting for managerial performance, and accounting education. He was an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Accounting and Financial Reporting and a member of the Elsevier Advisory Panel, where he contributed his expertise in the accounting field. His contributions to the accounting field have made him a distinguished scholar with an international breadth of experience. Dr. Edeigba brings his technology skills into accounting, making his pedagogy and scholarship highly contemporary and preparing students for evolving accounting careers, while also supporting businesses, government departments, and other nonprofit organizations’ decision-making through outstanding research publications and industry-specific projects.
