Jeremy Nowak is from West Palm Beach, FL and holds degrees in Music Composition (Palm Beach Atlantic University, B.M.), and Music Theory (Texas Tech University, M.M. and University of North Texas, Ph.D). He has over 10 years of teaching experience and has had the opportunity to teach at each school where he has earned a degree. Jeremy is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Composition at Virginia State University.  His previous appointment was as the Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Theory at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Jeremy has presented at both regional and national-level music theory conferences, and his research interests include form in Romantic-period music, rhythm and meter, and popular music.
