Jonette Jackson is a long-time resident of Virginia. She began studying piano at an early age and quickly developed a passion for music. Her early love for sacred music and community service laid the foundation for a lifelong dedication to music education.
Mrs. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Virginia State University and a Master of Science degree in Higher Education with a concentration in Administration & Leadership. Over the years, she has cultivated a diverse teaching career, instructing students from early childhood to adulthood in both private and academic settings. Her areas of focus include piano pedagogy, music theory, gospel and sacred music, and the development of well-rounded musicians.
She joined the adjunct music faculty at Virginia State University in 2008, where she currently teaches Class Piano. Passionate about making music education accessible, she also owns Jonette’s School of Music, LLC, where she offers in-person and virtual lessons tailored to students of all ages and abilities.
