David was born in Arlington, Virginia and did his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech and Radford University.  He earned a B.S. in Music Education/Piano. His additional higher education degrees include: Master of Church Music and Master of Arts in Christian Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, as well as a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano from Shenandoah University. Mr. Hill’s extensive keyboard experience includes serving as a staff accompanist in several universities and colleges.

One of Mr. Hill’s adjacent passions is piano tuning; he delights in the sound of a well-tuned instrument. An ordained minister, David has served churches in Kentucky, Alabama, and Virginia in music ministry, youth ministry, educational ministry and ministry to Internationals. From 1987 to 2001, he and his wife, Carol, served as Music Missionaries in Brazil; during that time, he taught a wide range of music disciplines at the Equatorial Baptist Theological Seminary.  David also has taught music disciplines at Bluefield College and Liberty University (both in Virginia), as well as ESL (English as a Second Language) at Campbellsville University in Kentucky.  

David has utilized his music and keyboard skills in churches, colleges and schools, as well as for numerous musical theater, civic and community events. Among David’s passions is playing the pipe organ. He has completed 14 years of service as organist at Derbyshire Baptist Church, Richmond, and is in his seventh year teaching music as an adjunct at Richard Bland College of William and Mary.
