I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia and the owner of Concrete Roses Counseling and Consulting, LLC. I am a passionate and driven social worker who is dedicated to helping others grow through their adverse experiences. I specialize in working with individuals and families seeking change and freedom from the difficulties that life has thrown their way. I have been serving as an adjunct professor at Virginia State University since 2019. I enjoy teaching and building the next generation of social workers while also learning from them. It is my goal to connect the field of social work, real life experiences as a social worker, and textbook knowledge together in my classroom. I pride myself in creating a family-oriented environment within the classroom as I push my students to implement critical thinking and self-reflection skills to grow both personally and professionally. Being a social worker has given me purpose and meaning beyond myself. It is an honor to walk through storms with individuals who need support seeing the light on the other side. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to expose others to light and fresh air as they work to grow through dark and tough times.
