Virginia State University Welcomes College Hill Cast Back To The Hill As 2026 Homecoming Parade Honorary Deputy Marshals

Season 3 cast members return 20 years after bringing the VSU student experience to a national audience.

Twenty years after cameras captured life on The Hill, the cast of BET’s College Hill is coming home. Virginia State University will welcome eight members of the show’s VSU season as honorary deputy marshals and VIP honorees for its 2026 Homecoming celebration, “College Hill: The Remix.”

Ray Cunningham, Deirdra Davis, Rodney Henry, Audrina Clyde, Arlando Whitaker, Bianca Olivo, Will Grishaw, and Anya Holland will ride together on the theme float during the Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 10. They will also be recognized at Friday’s pep rally and during halftime of the Homecoming football game.

Their return marks the 20th anniversary of Season 3 of College Hill, filmed at Virginia State in 2006. Produced by Edmonds Entertainment for BET, the series brought students' experiences at Historically Black Colleges and Universities to a national audience. At VSU, it gave viewers a look at the people, traditions, and campus life that make The Hill GREATER.

“Twenty years ago, this cast invited the country into the Virginia State experience. Now we get to welcome them back into a community that still remembers that moment and is ready to make new memories with them,” said Casey Perry, Director of Student Life and Engagement. “Seeing them together on our Homecoming float will bring ‘College Hill: The Remix’ to life. It’s a chance for Trojans who watched the show then, and students discovering it now, to celebrate the spirit of VSU together.”

The cast will join Grand Marshal, retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Sheila R. Baxter, in the parade festivities. Baxter is a distinguished VSU alumna and trailblazing military leader.

This year’s Homecoming theme brings a defining moment in VSU’s cultural history back to the place where it began. When the cast rides through the parade, generations of Trojans will have a chance to welcome them home and show them that the spirit they shared with the world is still thriving on The Hill where GREATER Happens Here.  View information about VSU Homecoming festivities.
