Virginia State University Earns National Recognition For Value, Affordability, And Student Success

VSU rises to No. 26 among the South’s Best Value Schools and earns new distinctions for in-state value and service to veterans.

Virginia State University continues to strengthen its national reputation for delivering an affordable, high-quality education, earning recognition in several categories in the U.S. News & World Report 2027 Best Colleges rankings, which were released recently.

VSU advanced two positions to No. 26 among Best Value Schools in the South and earned a new distinction as the No. 10 Best Value for In-State Students among Regional Universities in the South. The University was also recognized among the Best Colleges for Veterans, highlighting its ongoing commitment to ensuring that students from all backgrounds have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed.
