Board of Visitors Meeting Notice for April 20-21, 2023

The Virginia State University (VSU) Board of Visitors will meet Thursday-Friday, April 20-21, 2023, in the Gateway Dining and Events Center located on the campus at 2804 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Board committees will meet all day Thursday and reconvene on Friday morning, as indicated below. These public sessions, while open to constituent attendance, are exempt from livestream as they do not qualify as full board meetings. No Board actions will be taken, and there will not be an opportunity for public comment.

Board members are scheduled to participate in a tour of the Engineering and Technology Building between 11:30 a.m.- 12:30 pm and then return to the Gateway to continue the afternoon meetings.

Thursday, April 20th

  • 9:00 a.m. - Committee on Academic and Student Affairs
  • 1:30 p.m. - Committee on Institutional Advancement
  • 3:00 p.m. - Committee on Audit and Compliance

Friday, April 21st

  • 9:00 a.m. - Committee on Personnel, Compensation, and Governance
  • 10:00 a.m. - Committee on Facilities and Finance
  • 12:30 p.m. - Full Board Meeting

At 12:30 p.m., Friday, April 21st, the Full Board will convene at the Gateway Dining and Events Center for a meeting, which will be available via live stream. There will not be an opportunity for public comment at the meeting.
