Virginia State University Selected as Location for Virginia’s First Televised 2021 Democratic Gubernatorial Debate

Virginia State University (VSU) will serve as the location for Virginia’s first televised 2021 Democratic Gubernatorial Debate.  The face to face debate is hosted by the Democratic Party of Virginia and will take place on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 7pm on the VSU campus.   Five candidates seeking the Democratic nomination for Governor will participate in the debate including: Lee Carter, Jennifer Carroll Foy, Justin Fairfax, Terry McAuliffe, and Jennifer McClellan.

In-person attendance is “By Invitation Only”. The debate will be broadcast online at vademocrats.org and on wtvr.com. It will be broadcast live on four television stations across the Commonwealth, including locally on WTVR (CBS6) and on WJLA 24/7 News (Northern Virginia), WTKR News 3 (Norfolk), and ABC 13 WSET (Lynchburg/Roanoke).
