Web-Based Training

Take a Free Web-Based Technology Course!

Ever wished you could hone your computer skills or learn how to use that new software program everyone is talking about? Well now you can! And best of all, it’s free, via Skillsoft classes offered through VSU’s Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness.

Skillsoft e-learning is a web-based, self-paced, technology instruction and assessment management system that is available to VSU students, faculty, and staff for training and professional development.

As a self-contained, online system, Skillsoft e-learning may be deployed to deliver technology instruction for individual learning; as a complement to other types of instruction; or to assess student and staff technology proficiency.  The Reginald F. Lewis School of Business, for example, restructured its Introduction to Computers course to be delivered through the Skillsoft e-learning platform.

To obtain a user ID and password and enroll in Skillsoft e-learning, contact the Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness at (804) 524-5068 or send an email message to Ms. Tanya Harris at taharris@vsu.edu.
