It is important to communicate with your assigned supervisor about the expectations, available tools (e.g., Canvas, Teams), and scheduled check-ins. This arrangement ensures you can contribute effectively while balancing your academic and professional responsibilities.

Q: As a graduate student taking classes virtually, can I still be considered for on-campus housing?

A: Yes, graduate students enrolled in virtual classes may still be eligible for on-campus housing, depending on availability and university policy. Housing priority is usually given to students who demonstrate academic need, research responsibilities, or assistantship duties that require their presence on campus. If you are interested, you should contact the Housing and Residence Life Office to complete an application and explain your circumstances. Approval is considered on a case-by-case basis.

Q: How do I check the status of my graduate application?

A:  You can check the status of your graduate application by logging into the application portal you used to apply. Once logged in, you will be able to view updates such as receipt of documents, application completeness, and admission decisions.
