Online/Digital Learning

Overview

Partnerships for Education Advancement is helping VSU improve its online/digital learning footprint. The mission is to position VSU for success with an all-new online learning platform, VSU Mobile App, and to improve the online student handbook.

Market Research for Online Programs and Certificates

By investing in market research, data-driven decision-making will become a foundational tenet of the VSU digital and extended studies unit. This initiative is advancing the university’s strategic plan by creating increased opportunities for students to access in-demand education, even if they are not on campus.

VSU Mobile App

The university is actively considering a VSU Mobile App aimed for faculty and student use, with an emphasis on features for online education. This app will allow students to readily leverage university resources (e.g., university services, tutoring, announcements, IT helpdesk). This work plan aligns with the university’s strategic goals by defining and enhancing VSU’s brand as a go-to destination for online learning.

Improve Online Student Handbook

Designed to support students’ understanding of VSU’s vision, resources, and policies for online and extended studies learning. The handbook aims to expand student access to key resources in effort to uplift student success and successfully build an online learning community.
