Basketball

Basketball is one of the most popular intramural sports at VSU. There are two leagues, an outdoor league in the fall and an indoor league in the spring.

This season’s outdoor league will have approximately 16 teams competing, while the spring league is expected to have enough participants for 20 teams. Intramural basketball is open to both male and female students, as well as members of the faculty and staff.

While the majority of participants are students, the leagues do have some faculty and staff representation, said Coaches Samuel Rivers and Markus Copeland.

The outdoor league gets underway right after Labor Day each fall, while the organizational meeting for the spring league is held in January.
