DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses using innovative pedagogy.   Participate in continuous program improvement processes, curriculum development, and recruitment and retention efforts.  Provide effective student advisement; participate in scholarly activities including research, publication, grantsmanship, and professional organizations; and serve on department, college, and university committees. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A doctorate (or obtain a doctorate by the end of the semester prior to the appointment date) in Computer Science or a closely related area is required. Candidates must be student-centered and have a strong commitment to undergraduate education.  The Department is seeking applications to fill several faculty positions to strengthen its foci in Cyber Security; Cyber Physical; Networking; Software Engineering; Data Science; Artificial Intelligence; and Human Computer Interaction. Specialization in other areas of computer science will also be considered. Successful candidates must demonstrate a willingness to support the ABET continuous improvement process. Experience with sponsored research and innovative pedagogy will be given additional consideration. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. The successful candidate must have the potential to, or demonstrate the ability to, establish an externally funded research program as well as an ability to work with persons from diverse backgrounds. 

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching experience in computer science at the collegiate level is preferred.  Eligibility to obtain federal grants and contracts are preferred.
