DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach 9-12 undergraduate semester hours in Computer Information Systems. Courses include a combination of lower level classes and upper level courses. The selected candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses using a variety of delivery formats, conduct research, serve on assigned departmental, college and university committees, and advise students.
Qualified candidates must hold a PhD (or ABD) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology Security, Cyber Security or other appropriate terminal qualifications from an AACSB accredited university with sufficient qualifications to meet AACSB criteria for scholarly academic (SA) qualified status. Candidates must be able to teach courses in Computer Networks, Cyber Security, Information Technology Security and Assurance and other related (or assigned) courses. Accordingly, preference will be given to candidates with a major or a minor in these areas. Effective teaching and scholarly accomplishments consistent with the teacher-scholar model and AACSB accreditation standards, and university and professional service are also expected. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who have publications in quality journals and/or a research pipeline, quality presentations at national and international conferences, and excellent teaching record.
