DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach undergraduate courses using innovative pedagogy.   Participate in continuous program improvement processes, curriculum development, and recruitment and retention efforts.  Provide effective student advisement; participate in scholarly activities including research, publication, grantsmanship, and professional organizations; and serve on department, college, and university committees. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must hold a doctorate (or obtain a doctorate by the end of the semester prior to the appointment date) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related area.  Candidates must be student-centered and have a strong commitment to undergraduate education along with a demonstrated ability to pursue scholarly activities.  Specialization in the areas of Sensor Networks or Internet of Things are desired.  Other areas will be considered.  The successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to support the ABET continuous improvement process. Experience with sponsored research and innovative pedagogy will be given additional consideration. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. The successful candidate must have the potential to, or demonstrate the ability to, establish an externally-funded research program as well as an ability to work with persons from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching experience in computer engineering at the collegiate level is preferred.
