Administrative and Office Specialist II

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position will verify enrollment data for current and past enrolled students; will research data from database files, hard copy transcript files and microfiche; will prepare written reports using related to student enrollment; will serve as customer service representative for the office;  will serve as the key liaison for the National Clearinghouse; will submit monthly reports to Clearinghouse in timely manner and verify data before submission; will manage security access for the Clearinghouse; will  serve as the GO Army liaison for the Registrar’s Office; will serve as the transcript articulation coordinator;   will evaluate transfers credits that come from various colleges and ensure accepted courses and credits are in Banner System are accurate; will process credit evaluation and courses substitutions/waivers are processed in timely manner; will maintains log of incoming transcripts from other institutions; will assist with the logistic preparation of registration and orientation; will assist with graduation process to ensure status updates are entered in Student Banner System in timely manner; will serve as the Domicile Coordinator for the university; will supervise the front desk to ensure coverage and staff is performing excellent customer service; and prepare and update desk procedures. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business or related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience is required.  A working knowledge of office practices and procedures is required; demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and make arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately is required; experience working in a first line customer service environment is required; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a high pressure work environment is required; must have working knowledge of word processing software programs; experience using Student Banner System is required; must have ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing; experience working in an automated environment is required; and must have ability to plan, develop, and implement activities, policies and procedures.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

Experience working in higher education environment is preferred. Knowledge of University policies and Registrar’s Office function is preferred.
