Medical Services After 5:00 PM
If a “non-emergency” health need occurs after 5:00PM or on weekends, students may utilize Patient First, located 1260 Temple Avenue, Colonial Heights, VA (8:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Family Health Clinic at the Crossings, located 906 Crossings Boulevard, Suite C, Hopewell, VA (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM); or Southside Regional Medical Center (24 hours/day). Medical transport services are available through AAA Transport of Petersburg for students without transportation. There are vouchers available in each Residence Hall and may be obtained from the Resident Assistants.
The voucher must be completed, given to the driver and the trip cost will be billed to students’ account. No money is required from students at the time of service to utilize AAA Transport. This transportation service is only for medically-related conditions and not intended for personal use.
For emergency medical care, please contact the VSU Campus Police at 524-5411 and they will activate the local rescue squad. Remember, the rescue squad is for “emergency medical situations only!
