King Selected to Compete at NCAA Championships

Virginia State University's Dominique King, who won the CIAA Championship in the women's long jump, has been selected to compete in the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, to be held in Albuquerque, N.M., on March 12 and 13.

King, a junior from Kansas City, Mo., won the CIAA championship with a jump of 5.74 meters on February 13.

King enters the NCAA championship seeded 11th in the long jump. Rachel Anderson of Lincoln (Mo.) is the top seed while Tamika Taylor of Indiana (Pa.) is second.

King is the only CIAA student-athlete to be selected to compete in the women's long jump.
