Bowlers Finish Fourth at CIAA Round-Up

Virginia State University's women's bowling team finished fourth at the CIAA Round-up, held February 5-7 in Raleigh, N.C.

The Lady Trojans went 13-5 at the round-up. Fayetteville State University won the round-up with a 16-2 record.

Bowie State University was second at 15-3 while Elizabeth City State University was third at 14-4.

Chandria Davis (above) was the top bowler for Virginia State with a total pinfall of 875. Kendra Plummer was next with 821 total pinnage.

As a team, VSU had a total pinfall of 4,488 pins. The lady Trojans beat Saint Augustine’s College, Chowan University, Johnson C. Smith University, Livingstone College and Shaw University.

Virginia State will now travel to Baltimore, Md., to participate in the Lady Bear Classic.
