Nikkisha Walker Named CIAA Rookie of the Week

Virginia State University's Nikkisha Walker has been named the CIAA Volleyball Rookie of the Week, the CIAA announced on October 27.

Walker had 21 kills in six sets for the week ending November 26, 2009.

The 5-9 outside hitter from Gainesville, Va., had 15 kills in VSU's 3-1 over Bowie State University on October 21. She also had three service aces, four defensive digs and two solo blocks in the match.

VSU will play Saint Augustine's College in the opening round of the CIAA Volleyball Championship Tournament beginning on November 6 in Hampton, Va.
