Trojans Finish Second at "Last Chance" Meet

Virginia State University's men's cross-country team finished second at the 2009 VSU "Last Chance" Meet, held on October 8 in Rogers Stadium.

Southern Virginia University won the meet with a team score of 32. VSU was second with a score of 46 while Virginia Union University was third with 57 points. Elizabeth City State University was fourth with 100 points.

Geoffrey Langat of VUU won individual honors with a time of 28:18.38 over the eight-kilometer course.

VSU's Timothy Davidson was second overall with a time of 28:59.46 while Andre McIntyre was sixth with a time of 30:34.24. VSU's Eric Williamson 11th with a time of 31:49.90 and Maurice Brown was 13th with a time of 32:25.21. VSU's Mark Simms rounded out the scoring by finishing in 14th place with a time of 32:50.75.
