University Apartments @ Ettrick
University Apartments @ Ettrick is privately run by Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC. It is apartment style housing available to upper-class students only and is not considered on campus living. Amenities include washer/dryer and full service kitchen in every apartment, clubhouse, high speed internet, fitness center and more. Students who wish to reside here are required to sign either a 10 or 12 month lease and fall under separate guidelines and fees than those for on campus housing. Students classified as a sophomore or above are eligible to live in the University Apartments at Ettrick (UAE). Virginia State University will review all rental applications for the UAE. Virginia State University may deny any applicant who has a history of disciplinary issues, scholastic problems, or delinquent financial payments on their student record. The deposits for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 for the UAE residents is a $300 Refundable Damage Deposit and a $20 Non-refundable Application fee. Deposits and fees are subject to change.
Clearance: The University will clear all students yearly in order to determine that they are qualified to live at the University Apartments at Ettrick. All renewals are conditioned upon the University’s clearance. Students who sign a lease with University Apartments at Ettrick are responsible for rent for both semesters, regardless of validation/attendance status. Please refer to lease agreement for relief options. Parking Permits: All residents who wish to utilize an on-site parking space must purchase a parking decal. The assignment of parking decals are made on a first come, first served basis. Decals for the full academic year may be purchased in advance. Parking permits are $100.00 for the full academic year. An additional parking decal must be purchased for on campus parking ($60.00).
