Undergraduate ResearchWelcome
On behalf of the School of Graduate Studies, Research, and Outreach, I would like to welcome you to the Virginia State University 3rd Annual Undergraduate Research Conference. We are confident that this symposium will provide excellent research and professional development opportunities as you take advantage of the quality oral and poster presentations. We encourage you to network with your peers who are conducting research in your area of interest.
The abstracts for this conference have been reviewed and evaluated by subject matter experts in the field and were recommended for presentation. I congratulate you for your submission of quality articles for this Conference. This is a great accomplishment.
Our school has a good track record of sponsoring research symposiums and workshops at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Our research expenditures have increased by a good margin during the past five years. We are witnessing a sharp increase in publication of research articles by our faculty and students.
Upon the completion of your undergraduate degree, I encourage you to pursue graduate education. The School of Graduate Studies, Research, and Outreach, guided by the University’s 20/20 Vision Plan, will continue to provide quality graduate education opportunities to the citizens under the university’s scope of influence. Our school plans to continue to provide excellent research opportunities to our graduate and undergraduate students as well as to our faculty.
