board of visitors 2011-2012: Overview
The Board of Visitors (BOV) is the governing body for Virginia State University. By Code of Virginia section § 23‑165.6, the Board is responsible for controlling and expending funds of the University including its appropriations, appoint the President, establish tuition and fees and direct the affairs for University.
The 15 Board of Visitors members assemble on campus for quarterly scheduled meetings to discuss strategic planning and budgeting, student and academic affairs, endowment management, resources and governance, auditing, and facilities management. The members also participate in annual and special events on- and off-campus.
2011 - 2013 Board Meeting Schedule
The Virginia State University Board of Visitor’s Resource and Governance Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, March 19, 2012.
The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Room 310 of Virginia Hall on the VSU campus. There is no public comment period scheduled.
