Bowling: Moore Named All-CIAA

Virginia State University's Kayla Moore, a freshman from Midlothian, Va., has been selected to the 2009 All-CIAA Women's Bowling Team on Saturday (March 21) at AMF Durham Lanes in Durham, N.C.

Moore was the only Lady Trojan to be named to the All-Touranment Squad.

Tycora Brown of Bowie State University was named the league's most valuable bowler. Brown headed the All-CIAA team which included Bailey, Ria Sweeney of Livingstone College, Keia Marshall of Shaw University, Tiffany Ball of Saint Paul's College, Antoinette Bailey of Saint Augustine's College, Tiffany Johnson of Elizabeth City State University, Akira Turner of Fayetteville State University, Rebecca Frusciante of Bowie State University and Jessica Florit of Fayetteville State University.

The teams of Elizabeth City State University and Fayetteville State University received plaques for winning the league's Eastern Division and Western Division titles, respectively, during the awards ceremony before the CIAA Women's Bowling Championships, which started Saturday and will be held through Monday (March 23) at AMF Durham Lanes.
