Student-Athlete Profile: Nikita and Nicholas Allmond
 They are the only brother-sister combination in Virginia State University athletics.
Nikita Allmond and Nicholas Allmond, both seniors, both born on February 1, 1987.
Nikita is a senior on the Lady Trojan softball team, and Nicholas is a senior on the VSU baseball team.
Both play outfield.
They scored within 10 points of each other on their SATs, Nicholas scored a 960 while Nikita tallied a 950.
Nikita carries a 2.7 grade point average, while Nicholas is carrying a 2.5.
Both play a sport which uses innings, runs and bats.
But that's where the similarity ends.
Nikita describes herself as "fun, outgoing, outspoken, funny and easy to get along with."
Nicholas is more serious and reserved, even having a nickname of "Coach K."
Nikita's favorite subject is philosophy, whereas Nicholas prefers math.
Nikita is a starter for the Lady Trojans softball team, and she batted .380 in 36 games for the Lady Trojans last season.
Nicholas has yet to see action in a game.
"I just want to play in a college game," he laughed.
But both are serious about their education.
"I want to become a successful physical therapist," Nikita said.
"I want to be successful in my major (Mass Communications)," Nicholas added.
