APPOINTMENT DATE: FALL 2009
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate courses in Computer Science (CS) for majors and non-majors, as well as graduate Computer courses. Assist with the further development of the current program in computer science and in preparations for ABET accreditation. Provide academic advisement; participate in scholarly and research endeavors; solicit support for the CS program, engage in grant/proposal writing; and serve on departmental, school and university committees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have an earned doctorate in Computer Science with research interest in the area of Data Mining, an established record of excellence in teaching at a college level with evidence of new and advancing research and scholarly achievement, and considerable knowledge and skill in the use of automated systems. The appointed individual also must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with persons with culturally diverse backgrounds. Recent Ph.D. graduates are encouraged to apply.
