Nascar Visits VSUNASCAR VISITS VSU The Diversity in NASCAR Symposium at Virginia State University (VSU) represents the most recent development in the evolution of
a partnership to increase minority representation in motor sports
professions and related industries.
Initiated in 2007, VSU and Richmond International Raceway
offered a first-in-the-nation class in the Business and Marketing of
NASCAR. In summer 2008, VSU participated in NASCAR’s
2008 Diversity Internship Program.
Now, through this symposium, VSU and NASCAR aim to expose
the nation’s number one spectator sport to a broader audience to
increase awareness of professional opportunities within the
industry.
