Jim Junot
Sports Information Director
 Jim Junot is in his second year as Sports Information Director at Virginia State University and has had a 22-year association with sports administration.
Junot received his Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Louisville in 1983.
He spent 12 years as a reporter for the Louisville Courier-Journal and as an assistant sports information director for the University of Louisville.
After relocating to Richmond, Va., in 1999, Junot worked as a webmaster and researcher for bestselling author Patricia Cornwell. After a stint as a reporter with the Richmond Free Press newspaper, Junot landed at Virginia Union University in August of 2003.
Junot came to VSU in November, 2006, after spending four years at VUU.
Junot is married to his wife of 22 years, Beata. They have two children, Jordan (17) and Taylor (15).
