You are asked to take on the role of a woman in history (this includes contemporary women) and to give a brief dramatic monologue pretending you were her. Preceding this monologue, you need to provide the class with a brief historical background overview about the person and the times in which this person lived and worked. This presentation of a woman in history must be based on your research about her, including :
a. the use of at least two historical sources (unless the woman you choose is still alive, lives in the vicinity, and can be interviewed by you);
b. basic background information on the person;
c. an independent evaluation and discussion of her contributions/significance/roles;
d. background on the social/political/historical context in which this woman lived and worked.
The presentation should last 10-15 minutes. (20% of total grade)
