Syllabus<
Chemical principles are introduced and applied to issues and problems facing society. The fundamental language and symbols of inorganic, organic and biochemistry are covered along with chemical pollution, narcotics, life processes and nutrition.

A survey course with emphasis on understanding the fundamental laws of nature and the logical application of these laws to specific situations; particular areas covered include analysis of motion, Newton's Law, energy, momentum, the nature of heat and the nature of sound.<

A study of selected experiments in mechanics, heat, and sound, emphasizing practical applications of the underlying principles and the metric system of measurement.

PHYSICAL SCIENCE II- 3 semester hours F
A study of electricity and electrical properties of matter, magnesium, electromagnetic radiation, special relativity, the structure of the atom and its nucleus, and fundamental particles.

PHYSICAL SCIENCE II LABORATORY - 1 semester hour F
Selected experiments in optics, electricity and magnetism performed by students. Experimental techniques which are designed to aid the student in understanding the behavior of physical systems are emphasized.
