Special Olympics Track and Field

 On April 26, 2008 Virginia State University hosted athletes from Petersburg, Dinwiddie, Chesterfield, and Colonial Heights for its annual track and field event. The event was sponsored by the Special Olympics of Virginia and the Virginia State University Sports Management Department and is designed to get the athletes ready to compete in the Summer Games. The athletes competed in running events, the shot put, the long jump, and the softball throw.
