Special Olympics Basketball

On March 22, 2008, The Virginia State Universtiy Sports Management Department along with Speical Olympics of Virginia hosted the third annual basketball clinic and tournament for athletes from Richmond, Petersburg, Colonial Heights, and Dinwiddie. Students in the Sports Management department assissted in conducting drills focusing on shooting, dribbling, passing, and rebounding. Following the drills each team played 2 games, with VSU students volunteering to officiate, keep score, and present awards at the conclusion of the games.
