"SECURE IT: It's your responsibility"
Web-Based Technology Security Awareness Training
Virginia State University is implementing a mandatory web-based Information Technology (IT) Security Awareness Training. This security awareness training program is hosted by inspired eLearning website at: www.inspiredlms.com/login/vsuniversity/index.asp?CurLang=1 The purpose of this on-going security awareness training is to ensure that we educate IT system users on recognizing IT security risks/threats and respond appropriately. State policy (COV ITRM Standard SEC2001-01.1) requires all state employees to complete Security Awareness training every year.
All students and employees, regardless of their classification, are to complete the training. This includes wage, temporary/contract staff, and consultants who have access to VSU computer systems.
As we move through the implementation phase you will be kept informed and will be provided ample notice on when you will be required to take the training.
