3rd ANNUAL DISPROPORTIONATE MINORITY CONTACT (DMC) IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: March 27th 2009

The Department of Sociology, Social Work and Criminal Justice at Virginia State University and the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) are co-sponsoring an annual conference on Disproportionate Minority Contact in the Criminal Justice System. The conference will be hosted at Virginia State University (VSU) on April 23, 2009.

Interested scholars, professionals, and students are invited to submit papers abstracts, presentation proposals or posters for presentation at the conference. Possible session topics can include: Law Enforcement, The Courts, Sentencing and Sanctions, Social Services, Healthcare, Juveniles, Schools, Prevention, Class, Sex, and Race and much more.

ALL submissions should be emailed to dmc@vsu.edu and must include the following:

1. "DMC Submission" in the subject line of your emails

2. Submission Type: Paper, Presentation or Poster Session

3. Title: of paper or poster

4. Abstract: A 100 - 250 word abstract

5. Contact information for each author and/or presenter
