WVST TO BROADCAST CIAA TOURNAMENT

Petersburg – For the fifth straight year, 91.3 WVST FM along with www.vsu.edu will broadcast the CIAA Tournament at the Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina beginning with the Lady Trojans’ matchup either Monday night February 25^th or Tuesday February 26^th. WVST will also air the Women’s and Men’s Semi-Finals and will broadcast both Championship games Saturday March 1^st.

 

“Once again WVST radio is excited about airing the 2008 Tournament not only around the CIAA community but worldwide through the internet,” said WVST sports director Sean Robertson. “Being able to bring the passion and excitement of the CIAA Tournament is one of the highlights of our season.”

 

Robertson, a four-time CIAA Broadcaster of the Year, will handle play-by-play duties and assisting him with analysis will be VSU grad Derwin Worrell, Winston-Salem State graduate Sam Harley and current NCCU Assistant SID Oralia Washington.

 

In addition, WVST Radio will also broadcast live “The Trojan Sports Review” from the CIAA tournament in Charlotte to begin the men’s portion of the tournament. The TSR will air live Wednesday night from 7-8pm.
