1. As a Resident Assistant or Graduate Assistant, do I have to live on campus?

YES, RAs and GAs are expected to live within the residence hall they are working.

 

 

2. What is the compensation for a Resident Assistant?

Resident Assistants are compensated with a scholarship that will be pay their full room and board.

 

 

3. What is the compensation for a Graduate Assistant?

 

 

4. Can I work another job even though I am a RA or GA?

Generally the RA/GA job is a full time job and time will be limited to perform an additional job, however with permission from your Residence Educator and the Director of Residence Life you will be permitted to work.

 

 

5. Am I required to stay on campus during breaks?

There will be times where RAs/GAs will be required to stay on campus during breaks.

 

 

6. How will I be trained for my job?

RAs/GAs generally attend training the week before the start of the Fall semester and a week following the Spring semester. Additionally training takes place throughout the year and staff are required to attend all training.

Resident Assistants are compensated with a scholarship that will be pay their full room and board.
