DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver equipment and furniture to various departments on campus. Receive goods and ensure delivered times match the purchase orders. Prepare goods for delivery and write delivery tickets. Post receipt and delivery records in daily log. Perform general house cleaning of warehouse areas. Make minor adjustments and/or repairs to warehouse equipment. Ensure warehouse is locked and secured daily. Ensure access to Central Stores is limited to appropriate staff. Unload supplies, furniture, and equipment delivered on transport vehicles in accordance with established state and local safety requisitions. Perform inspections on material condition of shipment containers and goods for damages and missing items. Assist in tagging fixed asset furniture and equipment and moving surplus equipment. Salary will be determined based qualifications.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Virginia Commercial Driver’s License. Considerable working knowledge of general warehouse operations. Working skill in the operation of a calculator and keyboard. Abilities to perform routine mathematical calculations; to lift or move heavy objects and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Experience in delivering, receiving, and inventorying materials. Basic computer skills.
