I am newly hired and need Banner training.  What can I do?

I attended Banner training, but I would like to practice.  Where can I go?

A

We have labs across campus where you can practice in a test environment.  To reserve a spot, please contact Shahla at the number above.

Who can I call for help if I have problems?

A

If the problem is related to login problems or PIN problems, call the OIT Faculty/Staff Help Desk at 1-800-630-8917.

If the problem is related Advisor/Advisee assignments, Overrides, etc., call the Registrar's Office at 524-5275. 

Otherwise, call the OIT Faculty/Staff Help Desk at 1-800-630-8917.

How can I find the list of students I am assigned to advise (i.e. my advisees)?

A

Until the Faculty Advisors and Advisees can be entered into Banner, Faculty Advisors need to consult the Advisor/Advisee Lists sent to the Academic Departments.

When Banner is setup with the lists (approx April 23), and after logging on to Banner...

1. From the Main menu, select Faculty Services Tab or choose Faculty & Advisors category to access the Students Information menu.

2. Click the Student Information menu, and select Advisee Listing.

3. When prompted, select the appropriate term from the drop-down menu and click Submit.. The Advisee Listing for the term selected will appear.

When does Pre-Registration begin?  When does it end?

A

Pre-Registration begins in October.  Please see the registrar's website for details!
