What is VSU SAAC?

Virginia State University Athletics Department believes the student-athletes experience is essential to its mission.

The mission of Virginia State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (VSU/SAAC) is:

To play an integral role in the structure of our Athletic Department
To serve as a representative body for interest and concerns of student-athletes.
To serve as a leader in development and/or implementation of issues or concerns voted on by the board every year.
Disseminate information.
Build a sense of community within the athletics program involving all athletics teams.
Solicit student-athlete responses to proposed conference and NCAA legislation.
Organize community service efforts.
Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus.
