ASC MISSION
The mission of the Academic Success Center (ASC) supports first-year students in identifying and clarifyng their academic direction, education goals, to help students to develop and maintain effective educational plans and strategies for continued success. The Academic Success Center partners with faculty, staff, and administrators in upholding the mission, standards, and requirements of the University. ASC offers a diverse environment that is respectful, nurturing, and challenging. In addition, the ASC serves as a learning resource that provides free accessible academic support. We encourage personal responsibility and provide opportunities for success.
VISION
The Academic Success Center serves as a primary university resource for academic support and referrals. To foster equal opportunities for student success by utilizing progressive strategies and technology. ASC empowers first-year students to take an active role in learning, which ultimately impacts retention and graduation at Virginia State University.
