eva integration project page

Real-time integration was developed by the COV schools a few years back allowing the eVA system to directly update Banner once the orders are completed in eVA.  It also adds new functionality that VSU is currently not implementing in an automated fashion:  Real-time non-sufficient fund budget checking, automated purchase change orders and automated purchased order cancellations.  All of this functionality has been setup using SunGard's Electronic Procurement System  (LDI for eProcurement).  The specifics and requirements of this integration was developed by SunGard based on the requirements of the following COV schools:  George Mason University, Radford University, Longwood University, William & Mary, The University of Mary Washington, Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia State University.

This real-time integration project was established in January of 2009, and a core project team has been actively working on the setup, testing and implementation for VSU.  The core project team is made up of representatives from Purchasing, Finance, Invoice Processing and OIT:  Monique Robinson (Lead), Gabriel Washington (Purchasing), Leonard Breckenridge (Finance), Sheila Rose (Invoice Processing), Sam Giacco (OIT), Robert Schnettler (OIT), Robert Henderson (OIT) and Joanne Worsham (OIT, Project Manager)

An oversight committee was also established to monitor this project and ensure that all milestones are being met and that the final product meets stakeholder needs.  Members of the oversight committee include:  Sheila McNair (Chair), Yolanda Buck (Program Manager), Jesse Garland, Dennis Jones, Fred Washington, Della Randall and Joanne Worsham (Project Manager).  Mr. David Meadows serves as the Executive Sponsor of this project.

The project will officially GO-LIVE July 1, 2009 as we start the beginning of Fiscal Year 2010.  Communication plans are being built to inform the campus and to communicate important details about the implementation and how it will impact various stakeholders.  Please take a look at our new training/support webpage for specific information!
