Standard 1. Element Eight: Student Learning for Other Professional School PersonnelThe unit outcome standards for other professional school personnel are aligned with the standards of the Specialized Professional Association. The alignment of these standards requires the programs to focus on candidates’ ability to create positive learning environments for students. Tables 37-39 display data from the Educational Administration and Supervisions program and School Counseling Program that demonstrate candidates’ effectiveness in creating positive learning environments for students. The Employer Satisfaction Survey from the Educational Administration and Supervision Program rated candidate performance to be exceptional with 71% exceeding expectations; 29% of the candidates were able to meet expectation and there were no candidates performing below expectations ( Table 37). The Exit Survey showed that candidates felt that they had the ability to create a positive learning environment for students and the community ( Table 38). Items from the School Counseling Internship Evaluation indicate candidates as having the ability to work effectively within the school environment with students and with administrators ( Table 39). 83% performed at the exceptional level. The internship evaluation data for the doctoral program indicate that 78% of the candidates are able to affect student learning.
