Two-spotted Spider Mite Control

Spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) infestations usually start in localized areas and spread over time. The mass of silk threads and webs protect them from large predators. Thus, small predatory mites such as Amblyseius californicus (also called Neoseiulus californicus) or Phytoseiulus persimilis are best. Because Amblyseius californicus survive longer without eating, and can live on pollen they can be introduced preventatively in contrast to Phytoseiulus persimilis, which are canabalistic.
